Minnesota Breweries History: Hansen Natural Corp. Now coming on the scene is another new flavored alcoholic beverage--albeit with a twist. Hard E Beverage Co., a division of Hansen Natural Corp., is marketing "the world's first 'hard energy' malt beverage." With a taste like a sweet, carbonated lemon-lime soda, Hard E boasts a mixture of beer, vodka, vitamins and ginseng. Don't be mistaken, however. Hard E still contains 5% alcohol and promises to intoxicate the drinker at the same rate as any other alcoholic beverage.
